Summer Schedule and Reef Tank!

So basically, this summer I'm taking printmaking at the academy. That's monday through friday for two hours in the morning. Then I am doing voulenteer work at the zoo, aquarium, and botanical garden on afternoons. I'm doing a different one each day mostly on tuesdays and thursdays but I do have a few other days thrown in there. I'm pretty excited about that. I went swimming a few days ago and I got major sunburns and I'm having dreams about being burned in a fireplace lately due to them. The pool's heater broke and the country club is refusing to fix it so the water is freeezing. Oh well I'd better get used to it. My brother got hypothermia today. He lost his vision and got really dizzzy.. He was all confused and everything. And my mom says he felt like he was dead.

Also, lots of you know, I ordered a bunch of corals in the mail from Saltcritters.com. They were having a $10 sale. So every coral was $10.
Here's a review of my orders

SALT CRITTERS
Amazing products! They are all bright corals and some I've never seen in certain colors before. They have great frags! The shipping was professional, however in both shipments, one of the bags was open and completely torn open. Both of the corals survived though. One coral I ordered, a purple montipora got messed up.
The coral I got was white with a green tint and I don't think it was a montipora that I got. Oh well, it still looks interesting... Many of the frags I got were smaller than I expected and a few were larger than I expected. One was so small it got smushed by its own frag plug. The next order I requested that the frags not be put on frag plugs. Unfortunately, all of them were.

So, out of five stars, I'd rate this company a 3. They have great products but not the greatest generosity or care for customers. I'd order from them again if they had another great sale but that's all. I would suggest this store to others as long as they are having a good sale.

Now here are some pictures of all the corals I ordered!

Here's My "Acan Garden" (Quotes because its barely frags in this garden)

This one is called Green Joker Acan

Ultra Acan

Rosebud Acan

Lavendar Lace Acan

Clown Mouth Acan (Its above all the rest on a ledge)

Here are my brain corals:
Baby Blue Brain

Soul Searcher Brain

Toxic Waste Brain

Purple/Blue Maze Brain (I have yet to see their true colors come out)

Little button polyps (they're closed now)

Here's my kenya tree. Well, "Kenya Tree". Its a little whimpy (its only about 1/2 inch tall)

Daemon Eye Chalice

I also got some bright orange zoanthids (No picture)
And a moon dust acan which died =(

Wah doesn't anyone go to my blog =(

  1. We didn't take them off the plugs because alot of the frags are grown to the plug. Also it would stress the coral. Stressing the coral right before shipping isn't good considering its going to be in a bag for 24 horus stressed enough.
    Thanks.
